UNESCO Cities of Design

Elvis Presley’s House, Graceland, is a very exciting place. It was opened to the public in 1982. Every year, it has attracted visitors from nearly every country in the world.

Graceland was used by the Christian Church during the 1950s. Elvis Presley purchased it, and remodeled and redecorated it. A racquetball court, a pink Alabama fieldstone wall and wrought iron gates shaped like giant guitars were added.
