Alp Peker is a Turkish photographer that revels in the weird and the wonderful. Peker rejects the given standards of style, gender, fashion, family and societal norms in his work. The photographer was commissioned to make a series of work for Siedentopf’s Ordinary Magazine based around the concept of the plastic straw.

Staging with models and a collection of plastic straws wedged together to create a snaking plastic prop, Peker’s experimental approach to the series of shots creates a strangely intimate occasion.
