UNESCO Cities of Design

Interaction design students at the National Taipei University of Technology created a VR mask that gives the user an underwater experience. The user puts the LiquidMask on their face underneath a bulky VR headset, which allows them to see a virtual world. The user’s skin does not get wet but the device gives the feeling of water moving past of the user’s face by pumping liquid around the mask. The user can also feel the change in temperature by the mask.
