The Leonardo da Vinci exhibition, which will be the first virtual reality experience of the Louvre Museum, will host Mona Lisa in virtual reality.

The Louvre Museum prepares a groundbreaking retrospective of Leonardo da Vinci’s artistic life to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death. The exhibition will open to the public on October 24, 2019.

This creative virtual reality experience, Mona Lisa: Beyond the Glass, will enable viewers from all over the world to see Mona Lisa in a whole new way.

Mona Lisa: Beyond the Glass will reflect Leonardo da Vinci’s revolutionary practice as a true Renaissance man working in the fields of science, engineering, architecture and art.

Dominique de Font-Réaulx, Director of Mediation and Cultural Programming at the Louvre Museum said, “The Louvre Museum is pleased to present a virtual reality experience in collaboration with HTC VIVE Arts for the first time on the occasion of the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition. Visitors will be able to meet the true Mona Lisa and learn more about her beyond the myths and legends that have accompanied her for over 500 years.”
