UNESCO Cities of Design

Danish artist Thomas Dambo is trying to welcome people to nature with wooden sculptures he makes.

The artist describes his work as Recycle Art. Dambo has different artworks in many places in the world.

The artist uses products such as waste wood and plastic in his works and turns them into sculptures or animal figures. Dambo, who likes to integrate his sculptures with nature, says that his aim is to get people away from concrete cities and the age of technology, and connect them to the natural world.

One of Thomas Dambo’s most beautiful works is the giant troll sculptures he made in the Belgian Forests. These statues, which consist of 7 trolls and a tower, vary between 7 and 18 meters in height.
