Museum of Bad Art

The idea of the Museum of Bad Art (MOBA) began with a rubbish painting; and continued with bad artifacts purchased from flea markets.

Scott Wilson is the one who found a hideous painting in the trash and put forward the idea of a museum. These bad works were first exhibited in the basement of a house in Boston. Currently, the Bad Art Museum is open to bad art enthusiasts in Massachusetts, USA.

Works are collected from many different places. Additionally, artists or those who find bad work can donate. The only condition for admission to the museum is that the work is really bad. Some works sent to the museum were not accepted because they were not bad enough.

There are around 600 works in the collection but 60-70 works can be exhibited at one time.
