Atatürk’s Istanbul Days Exhibition | Yapi Kredi Culture

The exhibition “Atatürk’s Istanbul Days“, organized by Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts Publishing, covers the period from the arrival of Atatürk in 1927 to his death in 1938.
The photographs and stories of the days spent in Istanbul in these 11 years are presented to the visitors in chronological order. Pera Palas Hotel, Polonezköy, Florya, Şişli, are some of the places Ataturk stayed with friends and colleagues during his visits, and there are many pictures.
The exhibition is important in terms of recognizing Istanbul at the time, as well as learning the Istanbul years of Atatürk. All of the photographs in the exhibition are curated by Cengiz Kahraman, selected from the photographs of the Selahattin Giz Collection. This magnificent exhibition started on May 17 and continues until 10 November 2019.
