Station: Istanbul Encyclopedia | SALT Beyoglu

Ara Güler: Aphrodisias

Ara Güler is one of the most important photographers in Turkey. In this article, you can see some of his achievements and photographs. He passed away last year but his works continue to carry on his legacy. Ara Güler Museum's second exhibition, Aphrodisias, includes Ara Güler's archives from Geyre Village and Aphrodisias Archaeological Site. There are original darkroom prints, correspondence with international publications, travel notes, and a self-made Aphrodisias book model for the first time to be exhibited.
