Ara Güler: Aphrodisias

Ara Güler is one of the most important photographers in Turkey. In this article, you can see some of his achievements and photographs. He passed away last year but his works continue to carry on his legacy. Ara Güler Museum's second exhibition, Aphrodisias, includes Ara Güler's archives from Geyre Village and Aphrodisias Archaeological Site. There are original darkroom prints, correspondence with international publications, travel notes, and a self-made Aphrodisias book model for the first time to be exhibited.

Yapı Kredi Culture and Art hosts “Turhan Selçuk Retrospective”. The exhibition shows the works of Turhan Selçuk, a pioneer of the modernization period of Turkish cartoon art, and can be visited at Yapı Kredi Culture and Art Building between 17 May and 9 August. Akbank 37th Contemporary Artists Award

The Akbank 37th Contemporary Artists Award will be given as a result of the contest organized by the Association of Painting and Sculpture Museums and Akbank Sanat, to support the developments in contemporary art and to support young artists. The applications will be evaluated by the jury and selected works will be presented to visitors during the exhibition to be held at Akbank Sanat between June 19 - July 31, 2019.
