UNESCO Cities of Design

The figure is hidden in the wall, a node coming out of the corners of the wall and time pocket in the museum…

Daniel Arsham has been testing the boundaries of three-dimensional art with ordinary materials for 10 years. Inspired by his visit to Easter Island, he created a series of fictional archaeological objects. He creates extraordinary artefacts with geological materials such as obsidian, volcanic ash, quartz and glacial rock. Arsham likes sports, music and popular culture; and reflects his interests in his sculptures, with basketballs and basketball jackets.
