Belgian artist and filmmaker Vincent Bal turns shadows into art. While working on a film script in 2016, he noticed that the shadow of a teacup looked like a small elephant. He drew a few lines on the shadow and shared a photo of it on Instagram. His followers liked it very much, and he started to create a shadow doodle every day.

Now, Bal shares his work with more than 600,000 followers. In each work, a simple object and clever lighting reveal perfect shapes. Currently, Bal is also working on “Shadowology”, a live-action film that contains his shadow drawings. You can see more of his works on Instagram.
