UNESCO Cities of Design

Zhongshu

There is a futuristic library in Xi’an, China’s most migration-receiving city. Zhongshu, which is both a bookstore and a library, attracts both the attention of readers and architects. You can purchase books without being a member of the library. Wutopia Lab, Shanghai’s famous architectural design company designed this library. 300 tons of steel, 30.000 meters of fluorescent light and 3000 meters of metal shelves were used in the construction of the library. In Zhongshu, where futuristic decoration products were used, 3D printing was utilized and many details of the interior were first modeled with 3D printing and then built by the engineers and architects based on the necessary calculations. You should see this library if you go to China!
